Fire crews were called out to rescue an Alsatian that had become stuck overnight in a knee deep mud in the Fens.
Just before 8am crews from Wisbech and another from March were joined by a rescue vehicle from Dogsthorpe to rescue the pet.
“It had become stuck up to the neck in mud in Long Drive, Coldham,” said a fire service spokesman.
“Wearing dry suits, firefighters rescued the dog from the mud and returned to their station by 9.15am.”
