CAMBRIDGESHIRE Police were paid 10,000 to take part in Sky One’s fly-on-the-wall documentary Cop Squad.

The figure, paid by production company October Films, was revealed by a Freedom of Information request.

Cop Squad spent several months filming with the force to produce the 10-part documentary series.

The show featured police conducting rooftop chases, undercover prostitution operations and huge drug hauls.

In their response to the FOI request, the police said “there was no abstraction of officers from their frontline duties for this programme.”
