MARCH Camera Club's second monthly print and slide competition of the 2006/2007 programme, held last Thursday, attracted a record entry of 25 prints and 18 slides. They were judged by a panel of three club members: Mel Harris, Stan Canham and Richard Anker.

There were joint winners of the print section; Steve Williams with a colour photograph of a young woman smoking a large cigar and entitled Not Very PC; and Mel Harris with a black and white photograph entitled Derelict House Ramsey.

Peter James again won the slide section with Cathedral Cloisters.

Pat Ringham was runner-up with a photograph entitled A True Lady.

On Monday the club has its first external competition in the Invitation Shield - against Wisbech at Wisbech.
