POLICE have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the theft of a purse.

The incident happened on the morning of April 2 when the victim, who is in her 70s, was shopping at Tesco, in Angel Drove, Ely.

A man bumped into her shopping trolley three times and she later realised her handbag was open and her purse stolen.

The thief then attempted to use her card on several occasions in Littleport and King’s Lynn and did manage to withdraw some cash.
