THE Parish Church was full for the candlelight carol service. Everyone was welcomed by the Rev Colin Hurst. Readers were Linda Coare, Treasure Jones, Mollie Rollins, Gregory Lachkovic, Barrie Dodd and Jane Melloy. Children from the Kinderley Primary School sang three songs. The blessing of the crib was held during the service and the figures were placed in the crib by the Reeve family. The figures had been repainted by Vicky Reeve. The collection was for the East Anglian Children's Hospice Fund and members of the choir and church had been carol singing the previous weekend for the same charity. A total of £475 was raised from both events. After the service mince pies and sherry were served by church members.
