A car hit a pedestrian from behind then sped away, leaving the victim sprawled on the road.

The victim, a 26 year-old man from March, has been left with minor injuries after being hit by a car in North Drive, March on Monday.

He was crossing the road near to the junction of Deerfield Road at about 6.45am when he was struck from behind by a vehicle that failed to stop, causing him to fall and injure his face and hip.

PC Tania Weston said: “Unfortunately the victim did not manage to get any of the vehicle’s details, however the driver knows who they are and I urge them to come forward and make contact with police.”
