Two care workers from Witchford have pleaded guilty to the ill treatment of an elderly woman.
“Cristina-Alexandra Constantin, 26, and Viorel Constantin, 28, both of Main Street, Witchford, Ely, were arrested on October 31 in connection with the ill-treatment of an elderly woman in care,” said police.
“The pair were charged with wilfully neglecting a person without capacity and were remanded in custody to appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday November 1.
“Both have pleaded guilty and have been bailed to return to Cambridge Magistrates’ Court for a pre-sentencing hearing on November 16.”
Both workers were employed by Waterbeach-based Midas Care, which delivers care to people in their own homes.
