THIS year’s Peterborough and Fenland area Carer of the Year has been announced.
Nicola Stockdale, who works for Cosy Care, Peterborough, picked up the prize, which is sponsored by Wiltshire Farm Foods.
She was presented with a hamper by Dorothy Bradshaw, of Peterborough, who nominated her for the accolade.
Dorothy said: “She is a lovely young lady who not only helps me at home, she also takes me shopping and to my hospital appointments.”
David Brinkworth, from Wiltshire Farm Foods, paid tribute to Nicola.
He said: “Nicola stood out because of her willingness to do more than normal.
“We were really impressed to hear that she took Dorothy to the Christmas Spectacular in Norfolk. A truly caring young lady.”
