WISBECH Castle has opened its large historic doors to those looking for a prestigious, convenient and comfortable meeting venue.

Cambridgeshire County Council's 'Wisbech Professional Development Centre' occupies Wisbech Castle and has three meeting rooms available for bookings as well as being able to accommodate larger gatherings in the secluded lawns of the garden.

Wisbech Castle is a Regency villa at the centre of the town on the site of historic buildings, which date back to the original Norman Castle of 1068.

Its Fendick Room, named after its last private occupiers, Gordon Fendick and his wife, is the principal meeting room, which can accommodate up to 32 people. The Fendick Room, together with the smaller boardroom, are now available to local businesses and organisations for hire.

Additionally, the pump room in the garden next to the Market Street gate has recently been refurbished and is available for less formal meetings. For large events marquees catering for up to 150 people can be erected on the lawns in the secluded garden.
