CCTV images capture the horrendous moment a mugger attacked a woman in her 70s in a car park

Police released dramatic CCTV of the moment a woman in her 70s was mugged in a car park.

May Overson said after the attack: “I felt as though I was going to die because when my head hit the ground I had a black out.”

A Cambs police spokesman said: “We’ve released this CCTV in a bid to get more information concerning the robbery.”

The incident happened in the car park of the Conservative Club, in Broadway, Peterborough, on December 30 at about 10.30pm.

The victim was left with minor injuries and was severely shaken by the incident.

The man in the footage is described as 5’ 7” and aged in his late 20s or early 30s.
