CCTV is helping to reduce crime in Fenland, a council claims.
Fenland District Council responded to 218 incidents in July 2014, compared to 305 incidents in July 2013.
This shift “highlights the downward trend and reductions in crime and other related incidents in Fenland,” a report to full council says.
The council helped Cambs Police achieve 11 CCTV led arrests and a further 11 assisted arrests for, amongst other things, theft, criminal damage and violent offences, the report adds.
