Andrew Donnelly has been officially welcomed in as the new mayor for March.
He takes over the reigns from Councillor Rob Skoulding having served as his deputy for the last year.
The new deputy is Councillor Kim French, daughter of Councillor Jan French.
Cllr Donnelly has twice been deputy mayor and was just days from becoming mayor in May 2011 when he lost his seat on March Town Council.
The former Metropolitan police officer is councillor for March west ward.
Cllr French serves March north ward.
