THE manager of the Horsefair Shopping Centre at Wisbech has handed over a cheque for more than 400, raised for the charity Help for Heroes during a charity car book sale on May Bank Holiday Monday.
After Kevin Smith presented the money to charity representative Debbie Diablo-Smith, he said: “I want to thank everyone who supported this event and I’m so pleased we managed to raise such a fantastic amount of cash in just one morning.”
Kevin raised the cash for the charity that helps the UK’s injured service men and woman by charging sellers for their pitches, and collecting donations from generous visitors. A total of a total of 419.80 was raised.
