Chatteris firm Stainless Metalcraft to give out grants to local organisations through community fund

A Chatteris manufacturer is calling for local charities and sporting clubs it has supported over the years to get in touch as it prepares to launch a new community fund.
Stainless Metalcraft, which makes performance critical equipment for some of the world’s most hazardous environments, will launch the Metalcraft Community Fund at a special open evening on December 1.
The new fund will make grants of up to £500 to local, not-for-profit organisations, including community groups, sports clubs and charities.
Austen Adams, managing director of Stainless Metalcraft, said: “Like many businesses, we receive requests from local groups to support their activities, be that via financial donations, time or other support in kind.
“We know the positive impact that support from the local community has on a business so we decided that, rather than managing requests on an ad hoc basis, we’d commit to making a more regular donation with the launch of this new fund.
“The Metalcraft Community Fund will offer grants of up to £500 on a quarterly basis, giving back to the community which has been our home for almost 150 years.
“We’d be delighted if representatives of organisations we have previously supported along with all other not for profit organisations in Chatteris could join us for the launch. This will provide a fantastic opportunity to meet with like-minded people, share information and highlight previous success.”
All interested organisations should contact Jayne Buttriss on email@example.com or call 01354 692391 for more information.
