Chatteris in Bloom’s stunning Armistice Day has helped raise £100.

The group presented a cheque for £100 to the Chatteris branch of the Royal British Legion, with the money raised thanks to residents hand-crafting hundreds of knitted and sponsored poppies.

A spokesman said: “On behalf of both organisations, thank you to everyone who knitted poppies, sponsored a poppy or made a donation and also for the support and positive feedback the project received.

“Not only did the installation help raise awareness for the Remembrance period, but will contribute to the portfolio of Chatteris in Bloom for next year’s Anglia in Bloom campaign as a winter project.”
