A man has denied sending a letter intended to cause distress to Huntingdon mayor Councillor Bill Hensley.
Clifford Dragon, 63, of Stocking Drove, Chatteris, appeared at Huntingdon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (January 2) charged with sending a letter conveying false information.
He pleaded not guilty to sending a letter to Fenland District Council between September 1 and September 14 last year.
Dragon, represented by Peter Vialls, will next appear before magistrates on January 23.
He was given conditional bail, prohibiting him from contacting Cllr Hensley or attending an address in Warboys.
