MAGISTRATES have sent Chatteris man Tony Allen to Cambridge Crown Court, charged with intending to pervert the course of justice, and assault.
It is alleged that Allen, 24, of Tribune Close, tried to pervert the course of justice by sending three text messages on July 29, suggesting what the recipient should tell the police.
He is also charged with assaulting a woman in Chatteris on February 17, causing her actual bodily harm.
Allen is due to appear before the Cambridge court for a preliminary hearing on September 13.
