A man has suffered a serious hand injury after trapping it in a ride-on lawn mower in Chatteris.

Ambulance crews were called just after 5pm on Monday (September 15) to an address off West Street.

An ambulance, paramedic officer and a Magpas land cruiser were dispatched to help the man, thought to be in his 50s.

Paramedic Andy Stone said: “The man was administered with pain relief while crews helped to free his hand.

“It was a nasty injury with severe swelling so we conveyed him to Addenbrooke’s Hospital to assess the full extent of his injuries.”
