Police in Chatteris are warning car owners to make sure they empty their cars of all valuables when parked.

The warning follows a break-in that happened overnight on Wednesday (December 20) when a number of high value items were taken.

A spokesman said: “Can I please remind all drivers to empty their vehicles when they park it up at any time.

“Any shopping purchased during the day should be placed in the boot out of sight and away from peering eyes and emptied once home.

“Please continue to call with any observations of persons tampering with vehicles. Each call is important to us and officers are dispatched for these incidents.”

If you spot an incident, call police on 101.
