Holly Orridge launched her new EP, 14 Miles to Midnight, with a performance at the Horsefair on Wednesday.
The 15-year-old from Chatteris who regularly performs in local pubs and festivals around Cambridgeshire played an hour set to a live audience.
She said: “There were quite a few people so it was a nice crowd to play for.”
Holly started playing her own material in Cambridgeshire a few months ago and recorded her new EP earlier this month.
“When I’d go and play gigs, people would ask if I had an EP and I’d have to say no. So I decided to go and record one, at Wyshwood Studios in Ramsey – it only took about four hours!”
She said she chose to call her new release 14 Miles to Midnight because it is the exact distance from her house in Chatteris to The Boat pub, Whittlesey, where she plays most weeks.
She added that each of the six tracks is very special to her.
“I feel like they tell a bit of a story - about the lessons I’ve learnt.”
She said the title has another personal connection.
“I feel like my confidence really grew in Whittlesey after I attended the Boat open mics.
“They completely inspired me and I wouldn’t be doing what I am without having gone to those nights.”
