The trusty buccaneers were all given a treasure map with clues to the whereabouts of ten letters that had been hidden.

Once found, the ten letters would spell out a password to use to claim their reward at Ward Gethin Archer’s office in Park Street.

Everyone who took part was also put into the draw to win the main chocolate bounty prize, which was won by Ruby Mason-Hughes from Chatteris.

‘Captain’ Lauren Dilworth, who organised the event and is a residential property solicitor at Ward Gethin Archer, said: “We wanted to put on an event for the children at the end of the school holidays and came up with the idea of a treasure hunt around the town.

“We had a fantastic response with 87 ‘pirates’ taking part and I know a lot of parents said it was a great idea and asked if we would do it again.”

It has been a fantastic summer for all the staff at the Chatteris office, as they were named finalists in the Fenland Enterprise Business Awards in the customer service.
