Elgoods hosted the event where more than 220 beers, from 40 breweries, including locally-based Tydd Steam Brewery, were judged by hundreds of independent craft brewers, beer industry representatives and experienced beer drinkers.

Immediately following the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) annual eastern region competition, the non-profit-making beer festival opened to the public.

All the draught beers entered into the competition were on offer for visitors to try.

With a full bar of Elgood’s award-winning draught products, there was a range of over 150 beers, as well as a selection of craft ciders, offering something for every taste and palate.

More than 1,000 people attended over the three days of the festival and all agreed the event had been a huge success.

Elgood’s won gold for Warrior Ale in the small pack strong bitters and pale ales section, gold for QE cherry wheat in the small pack speciality beers section and silver for Warrior in the overall champion small pack section.

The overall champion in the Small Pack category was Wolf Brewery’s Sirius Dog Star and Grain Brewery’s Redwood was named Overall Champion in the Cask Beer section.

All gold category winners will be entered into the SIBA National Finals, which take place at BeerX in Sheffield in March 2017.
