IN the run-up to Easter, The Old Bakery Tea-Room & Restaurant in Chatteris held a fundraiser in aid of the local Good Companions Group.
There was a raffle, with prizes including a hamper, hand-made simnel cake, bottles of wine & Easter eggs. There was also a chance to win a big teddy bear by guessing the destination of his holiday & a cryptic quiz rounded off the activities.
On Sunday a presentation was held to hand over the money raised to the Good Companions.
Percy Smith, chairman, accepted the cheque from the tea-room staff: manager, Gloria Prior and chef/proprietor, Tina Prior.
Mr Smith was thrilled with the donation of £170 and said it was a " very much appreciated gesture.
