GREEN-FINGERED children and families have started a new gardening project at Burrowmoor Primary School, thanks to a donation of plants from Delfland’s Nursery.
The project, which has also benefited from gardening tools donated by local businesses, is being led by the school’s Family Inclusion Co-Ordinator, Laura Cobbin.
She said: “Gardening is a fantastic opportunity for our children. They are going to benefit from eating more fresh healthy foods.
“By cultivating this garden together, our children are learning vital skills in team work, problem solving, creative planning, and sustainable living.”
Anyone wishing to donate equipment to the project should contact the school.
