All 30 children from the nursery together with some parents and staff visited the war memorial at the church on Wednesday (9) to lay a wreath they had helped to make.

The youngsters stood in silence for a minute as a mark of respect before returning to the nursery in Kirkgate Street.

Michelle Bailey, manager, said the children had enjoyed creating the wreath and did very well during the minute’s silence. She thanked parents for helping with the outing.
