A MEMORIAL garden for children and babies has been opened at Fenland Crematorium.
Rev Jenny Webb, from St Peter’s Church, March, has blessed the garden which will provide a facility for the ashes of children to be scattered.
Plaques bought from the crematorium can also be placed within the memorial, which forms the centrepiece of the family garden.
Chris Black, crematorium manager, said: “We have created this new garden to provide families with the option of having somewhere to remember children and babies in an area of privacy, separate from other graves and memorial gardens.”
The garden is the latest development at Fenland Crematorium, which opened in August 2010.
