The event, which was organised by Neale-Wade Academy, was designed to prepare the children for the transition from their feeder schools to the academy in September.

The children who were involved had a fantastic time and forged new friendships.

Jason Wing, Neale-Wade principal, said: “The activity days form part of the transition programme that the academy offers and there is far more joint work between our primary feeder schools and Neale-Wade.

“I believe that this can only help the children as they step into secondary education.”
