ELY Cathedral choristers abandoned their comfy beds in favour of the stone floor in the Lady Chapel on Thursday, to raise money for their forthcoming tour of France.
After watching the Buster Keaton silent movie The General shown in the cathedral by Ely Film society, and some games of hide and seek, the youngsters got out their sleeping bags for a sponsored sleepover.
All funds raised will support their summer tour to France in 2014.
Rachel Cover, one of the cathedral vergers on duty during the sleepover, said: “It was a fantastic night and really exciting. Both choristers and staff had a really enjoyable time”.
