HEARTFELT messages in memory of loved ones who have died will adorn a blessed Christmas tree once again this festive period at a March funeral parlour.

Hearts and Stars Christmas tree at the George James funeral parlour is blessed by Rev. Barry Blackwell.

George James & Son, in City Road, have decorated the tree with messages written on hearts and stars. It is the third year the company have put up the tree in their foyer.

Reverend Barry Blackwell, the chaplin at Kingswood Park care home in March, blessed the tree at a small gathering where teas, coffees and mince pies were enjoyed.

Anyone is welcome to hang a message on the tree – donated to the funeral parlour by Skylark Garden Centre – for free, even if they haven’t had a funeral organised by the company.
