Special needs students are raising a smile with an upbeat video made to promote the activities they enjoy at a college in March.
The Happy song by Pharrell Williams has been given a new twist by students at FACET that is guaranteed to raise a heart-melting smile.
The students are seen singing along and dancing, as well as showcasing some of the studies they enjoy, along with showing off their wood workshop where they make garden furniture items and signs for sale to the public.
Manager Kris Harrold said: “The video showcases all the talent we have got here.
“So many people don’t know what is available at a our college on their doorstep, hopefully this video will raise awareness of all the brilliant things we do here.
“As far as we know nobody has tried to do this before, videos like these are normally done with photos but we enrolled the help of a professional to go the extra mile with the video and really do our students proud.”
Filming was by Ellen Jackson of Peterborough and was shot in a day.
The college has more than 100 students from across Fenland and has developed a range of accredited and vocational training programmes, supported by the provision of work experience and training placements in community-based enterprises which exist under the organisation’s umbrella.
It includes a horticultural project, a woodworking enterprise, four Charity shops all known as FACET Homes and Gardens and a small catering training enterprise. https://vimeo.com/155387954
