Clarence House Day Nursery in Chatteris raised £440 for Macmillan by holding a fundraiser this month.

The nursery raised the cash by hosting a coffee morning, prize raffle, sweet stall and bric ‘n’ brac stall.

Lee-Ann Watson, nursery manager, said: “The prize raffle was the main fundraiser for us and we had lots of lovely donations from various local businesses.

“I would like to say a massive thank you to all of the businesses that donated a prize to us, it really did make it a successful event for us.

“We also want to thank everyone that came to the event or brought raffle tickets”.

The nursery chain’s next fundraising event will be held at Clarence House Day Nursery, 72 Station Road, March on Saturday May 20 from 10am until 2pm where the theme will be ‘pirates’.

There will be a raffle, cake sale, toy sale, face-painting and lots more. All proceeds will go towards the Woodlands Macmillan Centre at Hinchingbrooke Hospital.
