Twenty-three pupils from year’s nine, 10 and 11 at Cromwell Community College gained awards in the Intermediate United Kingdom Mathematics Challenge.
The challenge comprises of 25 demanding problems which have to be solved in 60 minutes.
A gold award certificate went to Josh Birchnall in year 11, who also won best in year and best in school certificates.
A silver award certificate went to Owen Frear, Hope Bissett, Keelan Riley in year 11 and Ryan Chapman (who also won best in year), Alastair Heskins and Branden Hedley in year 10.
Bronze award certificates were received by Charlotte Elliott, Issac Hayes, Bradley Wright, Sophie Frear, Lucy King, Timothy Peverill and Niamh Gates from year 10, as well as Druaghn Chapman Fearon, Ellis Briars, Lily Brittain, Kira Chambers and George Terry from year nine.
