HOLIPSTICK, a club for women, will be launched on January 30 - and organisers are promising a brilliant night out.

The opening night will feature music and entertainment hosted by Radio Cambridgeshire's Johnny Dee.

At Elme Hall Hotel, Wisbech, there will be a presentation by a life and image coach and a talk by a cosmetics company. Doors open at 7.15 for an 8pm start.

The club has been created exclusively for women aged 25 and over. It will meet every second week, allowing members to chat over a glass of wine, experience indulgence meetings, take part in quizzes, enter competitions and take the opportunity to learn something.

Katherine Nightingale, owner of The Craft Shop, in March and one of the founder members of Holipstick, said: "We have been bowled over by the reaction from ladies we have already spoken to. Everybody has been very excited and thinks it's a great idea. They can't wait for the club to open.

"We have some inspiring and exciting ideas. With the amount of interest that has been shown so far, we are confident this will be a hugely popular and successful venture and we are determined to help make this the ladies' club to be involved in."

Membership will be £12 a month, or £11 if you join as a group of two or more. Forms are available from The Craft Shop, in Dartford Road, March, and from Elme Hall Hotel. You can also join via the website.

From each monthly membership fee, £1 will be donated to Breast Cancer Research.
