BENWICK Athletic Football Club will be celebrating its 70th anniversary tomorrow (Saturday) with a Festival of Fun. The day will start at 10am with a drive from the club s former ground in Benwick to their current home of the Dack Fields, in Beech Avenue,

BENWICK Athletic Football Club will be celebrating its 70th anniversary tomorrow (Saturday) with a Festival of Fun.

The day will start at 10am with a drive from the club's former ground in Benwick to their current home of the Dack Fields, in Beech Avenue, Doddington.

The drive will include a period Bedford lorry, and about 100 players will join the parade.

The festival will start at 10.30am with stalls, displays and activities.

These including karate, sponge throwing, beat the buzzer, maggot racing, a speed cage, archery, and Harley Davidson rides.

Tthe Benwick youth football teams will be trying their hand at rounders, in round robin tournaments against teams from Doddington and Wimblington.

Celebrations will continue into the evening with a hog roast and karaoke.
