COATES Primary School have hosted a ‘Walk in your Wellies’ day to raise money for new outdoor play equipment.
Pupils at the school in Coates, near Whittlesey, were sponsored to see how many laps of the school field they could complete in 20 minutes, all while wearing wellies.
The money raised will go towards creating an outdoor learning area with new outdoor play equipment.
Marion Seaton, from the school, said: “They collected the sponsors themselves and there were children as young as three walking.
“They all had a good time in their bright coloured wellies and lots of the staff joined in as well.”
