A COLLECTION of poems from the Fenland’s Poet Laureate Awards is now available to buy amid critical acclaim.
The Fenland Poet Laureate 2012 book which contains a poems from authors in the region has been reported in the respected UK Journal for the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) - including reproductions of the some of the poems.
Last year, the team behind the book, Atelier East and Wisbech and Fenland Museum, received a Clore Award for Museum Learning for the project.
Karen Harvey, director of Atelier East, who organised the awards from which the poems were taken, said: “Everyone has worked so hard to make the awards a success.
“It’s a wonderful thought that we are doing something that will become part of our local history in years to come.”
The books is available to buy inlone at www.blurb.com and will be placed in the archives at Wisbech and Fenland Museum, as well as the Fenland Collection and Cambridge Central Library.
