Uniformed services students from the Isle campus of the College of West Anglia got up close with an original Lancaster bomber.
During their visit to the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre in East Kirkby, students and staff also presented a cheque for £1320.30 to Paul Hewson, who is the regional director for the RAF Benevolent Fund.
The money was raised through a number of events, including a swimming, cycling and running event at Wisbech, which took them to the equivalent of going to Paris.
