IN response to “the bells are our heritage” last week, I also live near the church and suffer the ridiculous noise of the bells every Monday.
I find it very intrusive, its like somebody standing next to you in your front room shouting “ARRRGHH ARRRGHH ARRRGHH” constantly for an hour and a half. It would be beautiful if it was from a distance or maybe after a wedding for about ten minutes, but I’m afraid there is nothing beautiful about something so loud that it gives you a headache. If they are so beautiful then why doesn’t the person in question buy a CD with them on and they can listen to them all week long.
