THE Con Dollies received a visit from the City of Ely’s official Town Crier.
Avril Hayter Smith, accompanied by her husband Graham, entertained members of the group with tales of her life since she took up the post.
She showed slides to illustrate her anecdotes and described how she had brought town criers from all over the country to Ely for various special occasions.
The Con Dollies meet on the third Wednesday of every month at March Conservative Club.
