A MARCH funeral directors presented a cheque for more than £500 to Sue Ryder Care after it sponsored a pampered chef event held last month.
Turner & Sons Independent Funeral Directors, based in City Road, presented the cheque to Sue Ryder Care on Monday morning.
The money will go towards Sue Ryder Care's work in helping people get the best from life at their hospices at Thorpe Hall, Peterborough, and The Old Palace, Ely.
More than 50 people had attended the pampered chef event, where they watched a cooking demonstration and sampled some recipes. The event raised £504.97.
Suzanne Ellington, of Sue Ryder Care, said of the event: "It was a highly entertaining evening enjoyed by all."
