A Fenland school celebrated news of excellent results with a visit from MP Steve Barclay in recognition of their good progress.
NE Cambs MP Mr Barclay joined key stage two pupils in learning how to build a fire and cook a marshmallow, as well as boiling up a pot of hot chocolate.
He visited Kinderley Community Primary School in Tydd St Giles to congratulate headteacher Mrs Atkins, staff and pupils on their results and to take part in outdoor classes.
He said: “It was fantastic to see all the pupils having so much fun with outdoor learning and also to be able to recognise the recent excellent results.
“It was also a pleasure to see Kinderley’s World War II memorial garden which is a great addition to the school and I will be supporting the school in the next phase which is to submit a small lottery bid for funding for a kitchen garden.”
