A FORMER high flyer with Fenland District Council has joined South Kesteven District Council as one of two new strategic directors.

Just six months after stepping up to become Fenland's director of policy and performance, Beverly Agass has left to take over the new job with South Kesteven.

Prior to joining Fenland three years ago, Ms Agass was head of human resources at Kettering Borough Council. She has also worked at Huntingdon District Council and in the private sector for the John Lewis Partnership.

She said: "I am looking forward to working at South Kesteven. It appears to be an ambitious council that wants to put the customer first and at the heart of all its activities.

"I relish the challenge of joining the team. Councillors are very positive in wanting to move towards becoming an excellent council and to deliver high quality services to local people - I am very keen to help make this happen."

She will be moving to the district with her husband and son.
