A councillor is holding her annual tea party to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Fenland District Councillor Sam Clark’s tea party, which takes place at Newton Village Hall on Thursday, June 26 from 10.30am to 12.30pm, will include a selection of homemade cakes, tea and coffee.

Money raised will help Marie Curie Nurses provide more free care to people with terminal illnesses in their own homes.

Cllr Clark said: “We’d like to invite everyone to our Blooming Great Tea Party on June 26 to help raise funds for Marie Curie.

“It’s going to be a fantastic event with food, drinks, raffles and competitions and a great way to make new friends.

“The more money we raise, the more free care Marie Curie Nurses can provide to terminally ill people in the Fenland area, as well as vital emotional support for their families.”

Cllr Clark’s tea party is one of many taking place across the country as part of Marie Curie’s Blooming Great Tea Party campaign.
