MAY I once again say a big thank-you to the Skylark Garden Centre for the great Country Show weekend.

This event, now in its third year, gets bigger and better each year. Backed up by the fine weather and their supporters, the organisers put on a first class show with plenty for the public to see.

From vintage harvesting (including threshing by steam engine) to a display of all types of vintage vehicles outlined by an assortment of old stationary engines, to rides on ex army tanks, Civil War re-enactment and side stalls made it an eventful weekend.

The ring commentating, and evening entertainment (first class) was carried out by DJ Johnny Dee of Radio Cambridgeshire and proved a big hit. But the cream of the show for most was the wonderful flyover (three times) of the RAF Lancaster bomber, bringing back memories to lots of people.

Thank you once again Skylark and here's to you flying higher.
