MORE than 120 people attended a leaving party for two March Conservative Club stalwarts who have given 23 years to the club.
Former club steward David McCullagh turned up alongside his wife Pauleen, the former stewardess, with more than 80 colourful ties pinned to his coat, many of them given to him over the year by club members.
Presentations were made to the couple and a tribute was paid to them by chairman Stephen Bradshaw.
They were awarded a cheque and life membership.
The couple is being replaced as steward and stewardess by Ian Foagg and Jane Sargent.
