A patch of grass caught fire by the roadside in Coates today.
At 12.02pm, one crew from Whittlesey was called to a fire on the A605.
Firefighters arrived to find an area of grass, measuring about five metres by 10 metres, well alight.
They extinguished the fire using a hose reel and returned to their station by 1.05pm.
