A crew tackled a car fire caused by an electrical fault in Christchurch on Sunday.
At 2.50pm, a crew from March was called to a car fire in Sixteen Foot Bank.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish it.
The road was closed while firefighters tackled the fire.
The crew returned to their station by 4.10pm.
