Children in Chatteris bowed their heads in respect yesterday during a poignant remembrance service.
The service at Cromwell Community College welcomed guests to enjoy an afternoon tea style meal before heading into the South Hall for the service.
The lunch was provided by the school’s catering students, in a decorating classroom, full of poppy artwork, clay work and poppy decorated cakes.
Jackie Harding, Cromwell’s learning resource centre manager, said: “We had a very emotional service.”
