A senior producer of the BBC World Service visited students at Cromwell Community College this week.
Yolanda Valery came to Chatteris on January 25 to outline the plans for the BBC News School Report day, which Cromwell pupils will be involved in.
The day gives 11 to 16-year-old students in the UK the chance to make their own news reports for a real audience.
Using lesson plans and materials from the BBC website, and with support from BBC staff and partners, teachers help students develop their journalistic skills to become school reporters.
Mrs Priest, an English and media teacher at the school, has organised for a group of year nine pupils to take part in the day, which is held on March 10.
