Cromwell Community College and the Chatteris Detachment Army Cadet Force have been recognised for their efforts in supporting the Royal British Legion.
Certificates were awarded to members of the college and the cadets by the Cambridgeshire County Committee, which organises annual awards ceremonies to thank youth organisations and schools in the county for their help.
This year’s event was held at the Waterbeach Army barracks and Lord Lieutenant Sir Hugh Duberly CBE was on hand to distribute the awards.
The Army Cadet Detachment in Chatteris was recognised for its collections and its involvement in the British Legion’s Poppy Appeal, and Cromwell Community College was praised for its Remembrance Day Service and its work with the Poppy Appeal, Afghanistan Heroes and local charity, Scotties Little Soldiers.
